Kingsgate Hotel Abu Dhabi, part of Millennium Hotels and Resorts, marked its 10th year in the hospitality industry with a continued commitment to providing comfort, service, and efficiency to corporate and leisure travelers looking for convenient and affordable accommodation in the capital.
A VIP dinner celebrating the milestone was held last March 28, honoring loyal clients, guests and hotel associates. It was a night of fanfare highlighted by entertainment, raffle draws offering valuable gifts and the awarding of certificates of appreciation to hotel employees who have been with the hotel since its opening.

Since opening its door in March 2008, Kingsgate Hotel Abu Dhabi by Millennium, the second property of the Millennium & Copthorne brand in the capital and the first KingsGate in the Middle East, has positioned itself as a preferred accommodation of corporate travelers from the UAE and the region.
However, the centrally located property has recently started to reposition itself and is now attracting a share of the leisure market who is visiting Abu Dhabi. “We have started seeing some good new markets related to the international leisure sources that we are developing and it seems very promising. We have different packages that are designed to meet their expectations. The city is booming with new and unique attractions and we want to promote these to our guests so our packages are catered to target the leisure travelers in addition to our corporate clients,” added Zakaria.
In just 10 years, the hotel has earned prestigious accolades, including the Hotel of Choice Award for Business Traveler from Tripadvisor based on the millions of reviews and opinions collected in a single year from Tripadvisor travelers worldwide. In addition, the hotel received the Highest Employee Retention of the Year 2013 award from the Millennium Hotels & Resorts.
In 2017, Kingsgate Hotel Abu Dhabi by Millennium has achieved the highest employee satisfaction survey at 90%, from 82% in 2016. “It was our team effort, a closer communication between the management and colleagues, having an open-door policy and we have increased our social activities to motivate and encourage the team,” explained Zakaria.
Throughout the years, the hotel management has worked on achieving the highest standard of service by upgrading its security system to guarantee maximum security and safety for both staff and guests. To keep up with the changing industry trends, the hotel has improved its Wi-Fi system to cover the entire hotel facilities allowing guests easy access to an internet connection when staying at the hotel.
The hotel looks forward to a promising 2018 and will strengthen its position within the local and international market by promoting the property vigorously in different trade exhibitions. Kingsgate Hotel Abu Dhabi will be visible at Arabian Travel Market this year and in other leading trade shows such as World Travel Market and ITB Berlin.
