The Sultan Center Hosts Students from The American United School

As part of The Sultan Center’s campaign to promote "Healthy Eating" and spreading awareness among the younger generation on the importance of making healthy food choices The Sultan Center ( TSC) recently hosted students from The American United School.

Held under the theme “Needs versus Wants”, the tour led by TSC Hawally Store Manager, Sultan Darwesh, aimed at helping children learn the difference between what they want to eat versus what they need to eat in order to maintain a healthy body.

The children were provided with tips on how to resist the unhealthy food craving needs by substituting these craving with healthy more nutritional food choices.

Towards the end of the activity the children were given 1KD each to select 3 products that represent a “need” and pay for the items through the cashier in order for them to have a first-hand shopping experience.

Commenting on the field trip, Darwesh stated, “ hosting children from different age groups has been rewarding for all parties; as students have a chance to learn about healthy eating habits; while TSC customers and staff enjoyed the enthusiasm the children showed during the field trip”.

TSC staff made sure the trip was rewarding, providing each student with a give-a-way bag filled with healthy snacks.

TSC has been at the forefront in playing an educational role in educating the younger generation on the importance of embracing a healthy lifestyle and developing healthy eating habits.
