Health Minister Sheikh Dr Bassel Al-Sabah gave orders today to increase public hospital fees for expatriates from KD 5 to KD 10 effective immediately.
The decision comes to alleviate pressure on trauma and ER at public hospitals and encourage patients to seek treatment at polyclinics in their respective areas of residence instead, the health ministry said in a statement.
