Warba Bank has been nominated to receive the “Best Banking Innovative Application in Kuwait for 2019” Award by the Islamic Retail Banking Conference (IRBA); the Bank has been qualified for the award based on its innovative digital service “Jam3eya. Mr. Mohamed Atef Al Sherif, Chief Strategy & Digitation Officer at Warba Bank, received the award on behalf of the Bank during the awards ceremony held in Muscat on November 04.
IRBA is the biggest platform for leaders in banking services and regional Islamic financing; whereas it relies on a unique mechanism supported by high-end criteria and strict academic analysis to evaluate banks’ performance and competence. Winners are selected by a committee of independent experts who have proved a tremendous commitment by participating in the development, growth and success of retail Islamic banking.
In his statement, Al Sherif said: “this is a new milestone added to Warba Bank series of awards and yet another tangible proof of the Bank’s position as a leading Islamic Financing institution offering unique services recognized by one of the elite entities in Islamic Banking Sector”. He added: “winning this award is yet another example on the Bank’s strategy success, which mainly focuses on tailoring modern Islamic banking services and solutions adding value to customers’ banking experience and their daily transactions”.
As for Warba Bank exclusive Jam3eya digital service which has been the main reason qualifying the Bank to win the award, Al Sherif stated: “our aim for launching this service is to reinforce the saving concept amongst our customers while offering them an old service with a modern flavor, to better suit today’s fast lifestyle more accurately with convenient ways to collect money. We promise our customers and the Islamic banking sector to keep on providing secured services, which are tailor -made to cater for their current and future financial needs”.
It’s noteworthy that Warba Bank launched, last June, its digital Jam3eya which enables customers to create their own “Online Jam3eya” through its application and invite friends and family to participate. Participants number varies from one to eleven persons maximum.
According to this unparalleled service, Warba Bank has been able to eliminate the traditional concept of saving, relieves burdens of follow-ups and holding cash. Alternatively, the Bank offered a new modern digital concept marked with easiness and flexibility; where customers only need to create their Jam3eya through the app, name it, then invite selected people who will receive SMS to accept or reject participation. Through Jam3eya, customers can follow-up the money collection, settlement dates as well as selecting the month when they wish to avail from the Jam3eya.
