TSC Hosted Al-Ru’ya Bilingual School Students

In line with its educational program for students, The Sultan Center recently hosted 8th and 9th grade students from Al-Ru’ya Bilingual School accompanied by their class teacher at TSC Hawally and TSC Wholesale Center Shuwaikh.

The main focus of the visit to Hawally store was for students to learn the importance of food storage, handling and waste management. Mr. Sultan Darwesh – Hawally Store Manager provide a guided store tour explaining importance of safe food handling across the departments, the proper techniques for food storage and reducing food wastage.

As part of the field trip students were requested to pre-pack meals which they would then take-a-way using the techniques learned during the field trip. “It is always rewarding to see the excitement the students showed during the field trip and their eagerness to use the techniques that they learned” stated Darwesh”.

In the second visit to TSC Wholesale Center Shuwaikh, Al-Ru’ya students were given a guided store tour by Shuwaikh store Manger Ahmed Abbas. The tour focused on day to day operation of a retail store. Commenting on the student visit, Abbas said: “It was a pleasure to host the students who were able to see first-hand about the day-to-day operations of running a retail store”.

Since its inception, The Sultan Center is actively engaged in educational campaigns within the community.
