Mansaf is a traditional Levantine dish made of lamb cooked in a sauce of fermented dried yogurt and served with rice and it is the national dish of Jordan.
We never tried Mansaf before but we were curious to taste this traditional dish so we ordered Jordanian Meat Mansaf with yogurt from the Jordanian restaurant Cleopatra.
Honestly, the dish was OK but it didn't meet our expectations.
There was something wrong somewhere but we just can't tell what it is since it's the first time to taste Mansaf so we can't compare it to another Mansaf we already tried.
We are still curious to try the Mansaf again but from another restaurant to see the difference and figure out what was missing in Cleopatra's dish.
Cleopatra restaurant is located in Hawally Tunis Street and they serve a wide variety of Jordanian and oriental food.
